To improve the products further, we can now offer SunLike LED lights to get as close to daylight as possible.

SunLike is a registered trademark for a new LED light from Seoul Semiconductor and Toshiba, two of the leading manufacturers in lighting and electronics. The new LED light therefore provides a more natural and almost perfect color rendering that differs from other artificial light sources.

Traditional LED lights often tend to be more bluish and have a narrower spectrum, which can give a different perception of the colors in the environment.

Sunlike LED lights are designed to have a higher color rendering index (CRI) to better mimic the natural color rendering of daylight. CRI measures the ability of a light source to reproduce colors in a manner similar to natural daylight. A higher CRI indicates that colors look more natural and are reproduced more accurately.

In addition, sunlike LED lights can use different combinations of LEDs with different color temperatures to create lighting similar to natural daylight. Color temperature is measured in Kelvin (K) and can vary from warmer yellowish tones (lower K values) to cooler bluish tones (higher K values). By choosing a color temperature close to natural daylight, sunlike LED lights can create a sense of brightness and energy that can be beneficial to the work environment.

Daylight-like LED lights strive to recreate the wide spectrum of colors found in natural daylight. They can provide a higher color rendering index (CRI) and a more balanced spectrum compared to traditional LED lights, which often tend to be more bluish. Sunlight-like LEDs can be beneficial in environments where natural light is limited or to mimic the effects of sunlight to promote well-being or productivity.

The SunLike light is produced through new chip technology from Seoul Semiconductor and new phosphor technology from Toshiba. It differs from ordinary LED light in that a usually unnecessarily high proportion of energy-rich blue light has been replaced by violet and purple. With the new technology, you get a more even curve and you avoid too high a percentage of blue light. This means that you feel better during the day and that you also sleep better.

SunLike provides a continuous all-encompassing, sun-like vision-funding spectrum, from 380 to 780 nanometers. It brings with it the special qualities of sunlight for humans who have lived and developed in sunlight for millions of years. An almost natural and perfect color reproduction (Ra>97) is considered particularly positive, as is a generally clearer reproduction of surfaces and structures. You also avoid unwanted UV and IR radiation.

Man and vision have evolved in natural sunlight. For a long time, it has failed to mimic the sun’s continuous full-spectrum light indoors. The novelty with the SunLike LED light, an almost comprehensive spectrum with a violet addition. Useful for us humans and important for experiencing all colors and surface structures more naturally and fairly. This technology is used in Volvo’s latest market-leading car. The new lighting, which does not flicker, provides a light palette that is more natural than anything that can be obtained with the LED lighting used in the automotive industry today.
