What does a 1:10 contrast ratio mean in practice?

Zone 3 – General Lighting
Purpose: Provide an even base level of illumination throughout the room.
Example: Recessed LED ceiling panels.
Typical light level: Approximately 500 lux
Function:
Prevents the room from feeling dark
Reduces contrast with brighter task lighting
Makes it easier to move safely throughout the room
